Does your machine Ariston (Hotpoint Ariston) take in the tank not enough water for washing? At the same time, it shows error F10 on the display - without a pattern, at any stage of washing. The code indicates a pressost failure, but other causes are possible.
To determine them and fix the problem, read below.
What does error F10 mean?
CM Ariston with electronic control gives an error F10 on the scoreboard. Cars without a display indicate the code by means of signals:
After you are convinced of the error F 10, you need to understand what it means. Often the cause of the malfunction is the pressure switch. The appliance does not indicate the presence of water in the washing machine. Maybe this is a consequence of a wiring violation, an open circuit.
It may also be that the program has gone astray in the AGR. Then you need to disconnect it from the network for 15-20 minutes and reboot.
Symptoms of Pressostat Failure
Error F10 on the Ariston washer can be displayed for various reasons. To understand, carefully study the signs of a level sensor failure:
- There is no water in the tank, but the washing process has begun, the heater is turned on. This can lead to the combustion of the heater.
- The system draws too much or too little water.
- During the spin, the water is not completely gone, at the exit you get wet clothes.
- The rinse process does not start.
- It smells of fumes from the tank.
Error code F10 in 70% of cases occurs due to a malfunction of the pressure switch. Check its hose for damage or blockage. If there is a cause, clean or replace the hose.
Self check
Before fixing the breakdown, check the pressure switch:
- Disconnect SM Ariston from a network, remove the top panel.
- The level sensor is located on top of the side wall of the washing machine.
- Turn off bolts of fastening of a pressostat, disconnect contacts and a tube.
- Take another hose (diameter 10 cm), connect to the level sensor and blow into it.
- The pressure switch works properly if clicks are heard. They can be from one to three.
- If the response is silence, the reason lies in the level switch. To solve the problem, you need to replace it.
Additionally, you can check the pressure switch with a multimeter, as in the video:
Other options
What to do if the sensor works properly, and your manipulations did not allow to remove the error F 10? Check the control unit controller, wires and tracks requiring soldering or stripping. Perhaps you need a replacement controller or board.
It is also worth inspecting the contact connections between the pressure switch and the control module. Maybe the wire has gone, setting it in place, you will reset the error and return the Ariston machine to working condition.
