Antiperspirant deodorant protects against excessive sweat and bad smell. Only one thing is bad: an indispensable hygiene product sometimes leaves white-yellow traces on clothes, and it is not so easy to remove stains from deodorant under the armpits. At least the washing machine can't handle them. Why is this happening and how to clean clothes effectively? Let's get it right.
Why do spots appear under the armpits?
You have probably noticed more than once that the deodorant traces come in different colors:
- White spots are nothing more than an antiperspirant that did not dry up in time, which for some reason did not absorb and imprinted on clothing.
- Yellow spots are a mixture of antiperspirant and sweat. Such traces may appear due to irregular hygiene, violations of the rules for using the deodorant, the content of aluminum salts in the antiperspirant, and also as a result of some diseases.
Normally, sweat is colorless. Yellow color may be a symptom of chromidrosis - sweat gland disease. If sweat also smells like urine, it makes sense to test for uremia and jade. But still, more often yellowish spots on clothes are the result of insufficient hygiene. In a mixture of sweat and deodorant, bacteria and fungi begin to multiply, as a result of which characteristic marks appear on the tissue.

Stain Prevention
In commercials, you can often hear that the deodorant does not leave marks on clothes. In most cases this is the case.
"Invisible" deodorants work if you follow the rules for their use. So that they do not leave traces, you need:
- Apply antiperspirant to clean and dry armpits. It is best to use it after a shower in 15–20 minutes, when the body has completely dried and cooled. When applied to wet or dirty skin, the deodorant cannot be absorbed properly, it is imprinted on the tissue and generally works inefficiently.
- Wear clothing no earlier than 5 minutes. Antiperspirant needs some time to dry: aerosol - 5 minutes, gels and sticks - 10 minutes.
- Spray the spray from a distance of 20 cm. If you hold the bottle too close, the concentration of active substances will be exceeded and they will not be able to absorb into the skin.
- Observe dosage. Antiperspirants are applied in a thin layer no more than 1-2 times a day. If applied too frequently and abundantly, deodorant accumulates under the armpits and stays on clothing.
General rules for the prevention of the appearance of traces of sweat and deodorant under the armpits:
- Wash clothes as they get dirty. The longer you wear it, the more stains are eaten. Also, you should not leave things in the laundry basket for a long time - for a maximum of 1-2 days.
- Do not iron the thing that you already wore. Heat seals any dirt. Even if the t-shirt looks clean, it still contains particles of skin and secretion of the sebaceous glands.
- Choose natural, breathable fabrics. Cotton, silk, linen are the best air permeable and allow sweat to evaporate effectively.
- Avoid tight clothing. If the thing, and in particular the sleeves fit snugly against the body, the air circulation is disturbed. The body begins to sweat harder. In addition, tight clothing rubs the skin, absorbing all the secretions and applied hygiene products.
Give preference to quality deodorants. They are more expensive, but spent more economically. In addition, with them you do not have to spend money on removing stains on the armpits.
Rexon from white and yellow spots
One of the quality deodorants is considered Rexona. The brand appeared in Russia in 1996 and has since been a leader. Thanks to innovative technologies, Rexon's antiperspirants effectively protect clothing from white and yellow spots. The manufacturer himself recommends the use of:
- “Invisible on black and white” deodorant for complaints of white marks on clothes;
- deodorant "Maximum protection" with yellow traces of sweat.
Rexon is one of the few antiperspirants who effectively fights excessive sweating and leaves no traces.
Armpits are an ideal medium for the reproduction of bacteria. A large number of sweat glands are located in them, and it is also always warm, dark and damp. Antiperspirant deodorant regulates sweat, but still does not stop sweating completely. Therefore, washing clothes adjacent to the armpits should be done regularly, as well as washing the body. Then it will be polluted minimally, and the use of special means for removing white and yellow traces will not be required.
